I wanted to share with you a few announcements for the upcoming week!
This morning the elders met, and we have decided to have only ONE worship service at 10:30 AM the next two Sundays, 11/22 and 11/29. With the lower attendance the last few weeks and the Thanksgiving holiday, we do not currently have much reason to have two services (even with social distancing). We will assess going back to two services the first Sunday in December for the season of Advent. We are in ongoing and constant discussions about our COVID-19 policy and practices, and we just ask that you remain flexible as we seek to do what is best for our church family. Thank you for being patient with us and adjusting as things change!
Please be mindful that the COVID-19 protocols are still all in place (i.e. staying away if you feel ill, hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the building, wearing masks/face coverings at all times inside the building except for when seated, and social distancing). We believe that our Sunday services are a safe space for us to continue to gather together to worship God, but we must continue to be diligent and mindful of those around us and doing our part to stop any spread of COVID-19.
Youth and children discipleship class will be meeting this Sunday at 9 AM!
Operation Christmas Child:
Your packed shoeboxes are due this coming Sunday! What a blessing these will be to children all over the world. If you still would like a shoebox or if you need assistance on turning yours in, please contact Stephen or Holly.
Community Care Prayer & Outreach:
Immediately following the worship service on Sunday, 11/29 we need volunteers to serve with our ministry partner Community Care Prayer & Outreach. For the last three years, Cornerstone has partnered with this wonderful ministry to help transform their warehouse for Christmas gift distribution for those in need in our community. We need at least 20-30 volunteers to make this event successful. Pizzas and drinks will be provided!
I'm praying you all have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving! I'm especially thankful for Cornerstone Church, and our amazing faith family. I love you dearly, and it is a joy to be your pastor.
